Fiberglass Prepreg Lines
Fiber Glass Vertical Pre-Preg Impregnation Line
The Vertical Pre-Preg Impregnation Line is a key machine in advanced material manufacturing. It is designed for impregnating, drying, and stacking glass fiber with epoxy resin, used in making copper-clad laminates (CCLs), insulation panels, and similar products. This efficient and versatile line can handle various materials such as glass fiber, felt, kraft paper, and cotton fiber, in different sizes and weights.

Key Components and Features
1. Web Unwinder
2. Electrical Web Ironing Piece-up
- Heating system eliminates wrinkles/irregularities for uniform fiberglass surfaces (critical for even resin application).
- Manual cut feature allows operator adjustments to improve prepreg quality.
3. Floating Web Storage
- Acts as a temporary buffer during adjustments (e.g., piece-up or joint ironing), eliminating production stops.
- Prevents material waste and boosts efficiency.
4. Front Tractor Device
- Steel-welded structure pulls raw fiberglass through the line.
- Dual traction rollers with tension feedback sensors prevent slack/overstretching.
5. Web Impregnation Component Assembly
Subcomponents:
- Device Frame: Robust structure for precise component alignment.
- Back Coating Unit: Applies resin to the web’s backside via adjustable-angle roller.
- Breathing Rollers/Sky Rollers: Release trapped air by height adjustment, optimizing resin penetration.
- Glue Bath: Fully saturates the fiberglass web with resin.
- Metering Rollers:
- Ø268 mm rollers control resin add-on via squeezing action.
- Digitally controlled gap (<0.003 mm precision) ensures uniform coating.
- Hydraulic Glue Bath Hoisting Device: Adjusts bath position for even impregnation.
- Rotary Pneumatic Cylinder: Drives scrapers to remove epoxy residue from rollers, minimizing downtime.
6. Heating Chamber
- 8 independent temperature zones (adjustable range: 120 °C-250 °C).
- Thermal oil circulation through Q345 reflection plates ensures even heat distribution.
7. Cooling Chamber
- Water + air cooling rapidly reduces temperature to ambient, preventing warping/roller adhesion.
8. Rear Traction Device
- Steel traction rollers with integrated tension sensors maintain steady movement to avoid distortions.
9. Finishing Processes
- Second Traction Trimmer: Pneumatic trimmers + rotary cutter for clean edges.
- Floating Finishing Storage: Rewinding buffer to protect prepreg.
- Arm-radial Re-winder (Duplex): Rolls finished prepreg.
- Finishing Cutter: Cuts prepreg to specified lengths.
- Conveyor & Hydraulic Stacker: Transports/stacks prepreg for packaging.
